(Chinese Han Buddhism is influenced by Indian Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Chinese folk religion. It started during Han Dynasty (206 BCE -220CE) in the first century, and passed to Japan through Korea in 6th century. Chinese called Han Buddhism "Chan" or simplified into Japanese "Zen").
